Getting Started
My Creative Stash helps you organize your crafting supplies — dies, stamps, paints, fabrics, and more. Snap a photo, let AI identify your item, and build a searchable, categorized collection.
Quick start:
- Tap Snap & Stash to capture an item photo
- AI identifies the brand, name, category, and more
- Review and save — your item appears in your stash
Adding Items
The Snap & Stash button is your main way to add items. It adapts to your device:
On Mobile
Opens the camera scanner. Point at your item, wait for the auto-focus indicator, then tap the shutter. Capture multiple items in one session — each is processed automatically in the background.
On Desktop
Opens the item form with three input options: upload a Photo, type a Text description, or paste a Product URL. AI fills in the details automatically.
You can also drag & drop multiple photos to bulk-upload. Each photo is processed sequentially with a live progress indicator.
Camera Capture (Mobile)
The camera scanner is designed for quick, hands-free batch capture:
- • Auto-stability detection — waits until the camera is steady before enabling capture
- • Smart cropping — the item is automatically detected and cropped from the background
- • Duplicate detection — warns if you've already captured a very similar image
- • Multi-capture — take photos of multiple items, then tap the checkmark to process all at once
After capture, all photos are uploaded, recognized by AI, and saved as New items. You can then review and organize them from your dashboard.
AI Recognition
When you add an item photo, our AI analyzes it and automatically fills in:
Recognition uses a two-pass approach for accuracy: a fast initial scan followed by a deeper analysis when needed. Results are cached to avoid duplicate processing.
You can always edit any AI-filled field before saving. The AI isn't perfect — your corrections help ensure accurate records.
Item States
Every item has a state that tracks where it is in your workflow. Use the colored pills on the dashboard to filter by state.
Just added. Review and decide: keep it, add to wishlist, or discard.

Your main collection — items you own and use. This is the default view.

Items marked for deletion. Can be restored to Stash.
State Transitions
When viewing an item, action buttons in the header let you move it between states:
Editing & Navigating Items
Tap any item card to open it in the editor. The modal header shows:
- • Line 1: State action buttons (e.g., Keep, Archive, Discard) and a close button
- • Line 2: Product ID (tap to copy), current state badge, and ◀ / ▶ navigation arrows
Use the ◀ ▶ arrows to navigate between items within the same state without closing the modal. The entire form refreshes with the new item's details.
Edit any field and a Save Changes button appears. Click the item image to view it in a full-screen lightbox.
Search & Filters
The search bar supports full-text search across all item fields: brand, name, author, product code, tags, colors, notes, and descriptions.
State Filter
The colored pills show item counts per state. Tap a pill to filter. Tap again to show all states. Default view is Stash.
Category Filter
The category dropdown lets you filter by one or more categories and subcategories. Check a category name to select all its subcategories, or expand and pick individual ones. Use "Clear all filters" to reset.
Grid / List View
Toggle between a visual grid with item images or a compact list view using the view switcher buttons.
